Important: You must define a profile for an employee before they can use Millennium.
Select Data > Employees > Employee Information.
The Employee Information window displays.
Click New.
(Optional) Deselect Include this Employee Record in Productivity Calculations if you do not want to analyze the employee's productivity on the Appointment Monitoring Station and on reports.
Notes:
You should deselect this option for management personnel not required to perform or book services.
You should also deselect this option if you are creating a virtual employee to schedule clients for non-service related appointments. For example, you should deselect this option if you are creating a "Lunch" employee to book clients in for a cafe lunch between services.
Enter biographical information:
In the Name field, type the employee's first and last name in lower case.
In the Code field, type an identifying code name for the employee.
Tip: If the employee is a service provider, this code identifies the employee on the Appointment Book.
In the Address fields, type the employee's full address.
In the Phone fields, type the employee's telephone numbers. If you type a cell phone number, you need to select the employee's cell phone network.
In the E-Mail field, type the employee's email address.
In the Emergency Contact field, type the full name of the employee's emergency contact person.
In the Contact Number field, type the phone number for the employee's emergency contact.
In the Birthday field, select the employee's date of birth.
Select Married if the employee is married and select the employee's wedding date.
In the Social Security field, type the employee's social security number.
Click Male or Female.
In the Auto-Page# field, type the number of the pager assigned to the employee.
Note: You only need to make an entry in this field if you are using the Auto-Page System.
In the Service Level field, select the pricing level to use for services performed by the employee.
In the Employee ID field, type the unique identifier to use for the employee on payroll reports.
Note: This entry should match the unique identifier used by your payroll processing company to identify the employee.
In the Classification list, select the employee's classification.
In the Start Date field, select the date when the employee started work.
Select Show Name in Appointment Book if the employee is a service provider.
Select Show Name in Time Schedules to display the employee on the Employee Schedules window.
Select Show in Main Register Window to make the employee available for selection on the Register.
Select Show in Other Register Windows to make the employee available for selection on the Membership Sale, Gift Certificates, and Prepaid Purchase windows that are accessible from the Register.
Select Show Name in Tip Window if the employee is a service provider.
Select This Employee MUST Punch In if you want to force the employee to punch in when they access Millennium. You should select this option for employees paid an hourly rate so that you can keep an accurate record of their actual time worked.
Click Yes to create a client profile for the employee so that they can purchase items through the Register.
Click No if you do not want to create a client profile for the employee.
