Defining a Package

Notes:  


  1. Select Data > Packages/Series.

The Pkg/Series window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. In the Pkg/series Name field, type a name for the package.
  3. In the Items Included table, select the items to include in the package:
Services

Enter the services in the order they are normally scheduled.

  1. Double-click in the Service field, select the service, and click OK.

  2. In the Quantity field, specify the quantity to include in the package.

  3. In the Price Each field, change the default price of the service to the discounted price you want to charge for the package.

Important:  Service providers receive commission based on the price you enter in the Price Each field.  If you give a 10% discount on the service for the package, you should reduce the amount in the Price Each field by 10% so that service providers are paid commission on the discounted price and not the full price.

Products
  1. Double-click in the Product field, select the product, and click OK.

  2. In the Quantity field, specify the quantity to include in the package.

  3. In the Price Each field, change the default price of the product to the discounted price you want to charge for the package.

Important:  Employees receive commission based on the price you enter in the Price Each field.  If you give a 10% discount on the product for the package, you should reduce the amount in the Price Each field by 10% so that employees are paid commission on the discounted price and not the full price.

  1. In the Expires _ Weeks After Purchase field, select the number of weeks after purchase that clients have to redeem the package items, or select "0" if you do not want to set an expiration date for the package items.
  2. Move to the Pricing tab and define the pricing structure for the package:
  1. In the Pkg/series Price field, type the price to charge for the package.  If you want to reduce this price by a certain percentage, click Calculate % Off and type a percentage in the Enter % to Subtract field that displays.

  2. In the House Charge field, type a house charge to add to the price of the package to cover the cost of performing the services included.

  3. In the Default Tip field, type the prepaid tip to include with the package.

  1. Click the Catalog Descript tab and type a description to display when clients look up the package in Online Booking:
  1. In the Catalog Description field, type a description of the items in the package.

  2. Click Edit/Insert Photo if you want to add an image to display with the package description.  Open the image that you want to use in an image editor and press Ctrl+c.  Move back to the Photo Selector window and press Ctrl+v.  Click Save to add the image.

  1. Click the Commission tab and define the commission structure for the package:

Tip:  Click Employee Specific Commission Override to define employee-specific commissions for selling the package.

  1. Click Save.
