Completing a Gift Certificate Sale

If you are not using Amazon Payments, Authorize.Net, or PayPal Website Payments Pro to process payments for gift certificates, you need to complete each gift certificate sale  using the following steps.


  1. Open a web browser and access www.spaboom.com.

The SpaBoom web site displays.

  1. Type your login credentials and click Login.

The Welcome page displays.  A message displays at the top of the page indicating the number of transactions that require completion.

  1. Click the GCs link.

The GCs page displays with a list of transactions that require completion.

  1. Note the gift certificate number that displays in the ID field and the client that displays in the Recipient field.
  1. Click next to the ticket number.

The Credit Card page displays.

Important:  Leave this page open because you will need this information to finalize the transaction in Millennium.

  1. Open Millennium and click on the toolbar.

The Appointments for window displays.

  1. In the Client field, type "g#XXXX" (where "XXXX" is the gift certificate number you noted in Step 4) and press Enter.

The client's details display.

  1. Click .

The Gift Certificates Balances window displays.

  1. Right-click on the ticket number and select Edit/View Transaction.

The Register displays.

  1. Click Gift Certif.

The Gift Certificate Balances window displays.

  1. Verify that the client entered in the Purchased For field is the client you noted in Step 4.  If the wrong client displays, click Edit and type the name of the correct client or add a new client profile for the recipient.  Click Save and click  X  once you have finished.

Important:  If a client purchases a mail order gift certificate, the purchaser will always display as the recipient in Millennium.  The actual recipient can still redeem the gift certificate but you will need to adjust the recipient manually in Millennium when the client redeems the gift certificate.

The Register displays.

  1. Click Save.

The Change Due window displays.

  1. Click Cancel.

The Payment Types window displays.

  1. In the Automated Credit Card Processing section, select the credit card payment and click Delete Charge.

The Confirm Charge Deletion message displays.

  1. Click Yes.
  1. Click Process Credit Card and process a payment for the balance due using the card details from the Credit Card page on the SpaBoom web site.
  2. Once you finalize the payment, move back to the Credit Card page on the SpaBoom web site.
  3. Select "Successfully Processed" in the Status field (highlighted below).

  1. Click Save.

The sale is complete.
