The next step is to install the Millennium Software Development Kit (SDK), which includes the BoomTime Service. The BoomTime Service transfers gift certificate transactions from the SpaBoom web site into Millennium.
Note: You need your login credentials for the My Millennium Community web site to complete this step. If you do not remember your login credentials, contact Business Support for further assistance.
There are two options for installing the Millennium SDK.
Install the Millennium SDK on the computer where you have the Millennium database located.
Complete one of the following:
If you are not using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with an administrator account.
If you are using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with the Administrator account.
Open a web browser and access http://update.harms-software.com.
Type your login credentials and click Login.
The Updates page displays.
In the Millennium Add-on Updates panel, click the Download link next to Millennium SDK Server.
Tip: If the "Internet Explorer blocked a pop-up from mymillennium.harms-software.com" message displays, click Options for this site and select Always Allow. Click the Download link again to continue.
The Millennium SDK Server Update window displays.
Click Download.
The View Downloads window displays.
Click Run.
The installation wizard displays once the installation file downloads.
Click Next.
The License Agreement screen displays.
Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.
The Customer Information screen displays.
Type your details and click Next.
The Setup Type screen displays.
Select Complete and click Next.
The Service Login Information screen displays.
Specify the user account under which to run the BoomTime Service:
Run the service under the user account you are currently using to access Windows
Click Next.
The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.
Run the service under another administrator account
In the User name and Password fields, type the login credentials for the administrator account.
Note: If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.
Click Next.
The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.
Run the service under a new administrator account
Click New User Information.
The New User Information screen displays.
Select a domain/server, select a user group, and type login credentials for the new administrator account.
Note: If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.
Click OK.
Click Next.
The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.
Select one of the following options:
If you have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, select the web site where you have Online Booking/RemoteBusiness installed and click Next.
If you do not have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, click Next to continue.
Important:
If you are installing the Millennium SDK in Windows XP and already have another web site installed, you must install the Millennium SDK under that web site.
If you decide to change the port used for the web site where you installed the Millennium SDK, you need to update the HarmsBridgeMillennium.ini file to reflect this change. Click here for instructions.
The Database Folder screen displays.
Click Next.
The Ready to Install the Program screen displays.
Click Install.
The Installation Complete screen displays once the installation finishes.
Click Close.
Select one of the following options:
If the computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows Small Business Server (SBS), proceed to Step 17.
If the computer is not running a 64-bit version of Windows Small Business Server (SBS), proceed to Step 18.
Configure the Millennium SDK:
Press Windows Logo+R or select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
The Run window displays.
Type "inetmgr" and press Enter.
The Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager displays.
Double-click your server connection and select Application Pools.
Right-click on the MillenniumSDK application pool and select Advanced Settings.
The Advanced Settings window displays.
Complete the following:
Select "True" in the Enable 32-Bit Applications field.
Select "Classic" in the Managed Pipeline Mode field.
Click ... next to the Identity field.
The Application Pool Identity window displays.
Select Built-in account.
Select LocalSystem.
Click OK until you close all active windows.
Open the C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\ folder.
Right-click on the applicationhost.config file and select Edit.
The applicationhost.config file opens in Notepad.
Select Edit > Find.
The Find window displays.
Type "kerbauth" and click Find Next until you locate a line similar to the following:

Add "preCondition="bitness64" to the end of the line (as shown below).

On the Find window, type "exppw" and click Find Next until you locate a line similar to the following:

Add "preCondition="bitness64" to the end of the line (as shown below).

Save and close the file.
Press Windows Logo+R or select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
The Run window displays.
Type "cmd" and press Enter.
The Command window displays.
Type "%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe set config -section:system.webServer/httpCompression /-[name='xpress']" and press Enter.
Type "iisreset" and press Enter.
Restart the computer.
Click here to proceed with the next step of the setup.
Install the Millennium SDK on a computer where you do not have the Millennium database located.
Complete one of the following:
If you are not using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with an administrator account.

Important:
If you are installing the Millennium SDK in Windows XP and already have another web site installed, you must install the Millennium SDK under that web site.

The Change Current Destination Folder screen displays.
In the Folder Name field, type the UNC path for the Millennium data folder.
Example: "\\Server\Harms\Millennium\"
Click OK.
Click Next.
The Ready to Install the Program screen displays.
Click Install.
The Installation Complete screen displays once the installation finishes.
Click Close.
Select one of the following options:
If the computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows Small Business Server (SBS), proceed to Step 20.
If the computer is not running a 64-bit version of Windows Small Business Server (SBS), proceed to Step 21.
Configure the Millennium SDK:
Press Windows Logo+R or select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
The Run window displays.
