The Manufacturers window allows you to define the manufacturers of your products. You must associate each product with a manufacturer before you can track product sales by manufacturer on reports.
Tip: If you order products directly from a manufacturer, you should define a distributor profile for the manufacturer first and use the Copy as Manufacturer feature to define a manufacturer profile. Click here for instructions.
Select Data > Company Information > Manufacturers.
The Manufacturers window displays.
In the Company Name field, type the name of the manufacturer.
In the Address field, type the manufacturer's address.
In the Abbreviation field, type a two-character abbreviation to use for the manufacturer.
In the Phone Number field, type the manufacturer's phone number.
In the Fax Number field, type the manufacturer's fax number.
In the Contact Name field, type the name of the manufacturer's contact person.
In the Contact Phone field, type the contact person's phone number.
In the Email field, type the contact person's email address.
In the Web Site field, type the address of the manufacturer's web site.
In the Data Repository URL field, type the web address of the manufacturer's data repository.
In the Product Line, select your manufacturer.
Note: If your manufacturer displays in this field, you can use the Product Line Updater to update your Millennium database with the latest products and pricing information. If your manufacturer does not display in this field, your manufacturer does not support the Product Line Updater feature.
