Defining a Cancellation Reason

The Cancellation Reasons window allows you to define appointment cancellation reasons so that you can accurately track the reasons why clients are cancelling their appointments.  To penalize clients for cancelling their appointment without sufficient notice, you can associate a cancellation fee with each cancellation reason.


  1. Select Data > Cancellation Reasons.

The Cancellation Reasons window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. In the Cancellation Reason field, type the cancellation reason.
  3. (Optional) In the Automatically Charge _ of Price field, type a percentage of the price of the cancelled service(s) to charge the client for cancelling.

Note:  When you cancel an appointment using a reason that charges a cancellation fee, you must ring up the fee through the Register or charge the fee to the client's account.

  1. Click Save.
