3. Install the SDK

The next step is to install the Millennium SDK.

If you do not remember your login credentials, contact Business Support for further assistance.

There are two options for installing the Millennium SDK.

Option 1

Install the Millennium SDK on the computer where you have the Millennium database located.

• Instructions

  1. Complete one of the following:

  • If you are not using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with an administrator account.

  • If you are using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with the Administrator account.

  2. Contact Business Support for a link to the latest Millennium SDK download package.

  3. Download and save the SDK installer to the desktop.

  4. Double-click the file. When the Welcome window appears, click Next.

  The License Agreement screen displays.

  5. Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.

  The Customer Information screen displays.

  6. Enter your details and click Next.

  The Setup Type screen displays.

  7. Complete the following based on the scenario:

  • You use the SpaBoom interface

    1. Select Complete.

    2. Click Next.

    The Service Login Information screen displays.

    3. Specify the user account under which to run the SpaBoom Integration Service:

    • Run the service under the user account you are currently using to access Windows

      1. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

    • Run the service under another administrator account

      1. In the User name and Password fields, type the login credentials for the administrator account.

      Note:  If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.

      2. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

    • Run the service under a new administrator account

      1. Click New User Information.

      The New User Information screen displays.

      2. Select a domain/server, select a user group, and type login credentials for the new administrator account.

      Note:  If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.

      3. Click OK.

      4. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

     

  • You do not use the SpaBoom interface

    1. Select Custom.

    2. Click Next.

    The Custom Setup screen displays.

    3. Click next to SpaBoom Integration and select This feature will not be available.

    4. Click Next.

    The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

     

  8. On the Web Site Folder screen, select one of the following options:

  • If you have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, select the web site where you have Online Booking/RemoteBusiness installed and click Next.

  • If you do not have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, click Next to continue.

  Important:  

  • If you are installing the Millennium SDK in Windows XP and already have another web site installed, you must install the Millennium SDK under that web site.

  • If you decide to change the port used for the web site where you installed the Millennium SDK, you need to update the HarmsBridgeMillennium.ini file to reflect this change.  Click here for instructions.

  The Database Folder screen displays.

  9. Click Next.

  The Ready to Install the Program screen displays.

  10. Click Install.

  The Installation Complete screen displays once the installation finishes.

  11. Click Close.

  12. Restart the computer.

  13. Click here to proceed with the next step of the setup.

   

Option 2

Install the Millennium SDK on a computer where you do not have the Millennium database located.

• Instructions

  1. Complete one of the following:

     • If you are not using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with an administrator account.

     • If you are using the basic edition of Windows 8, access Windows with the Administrator account.

  2. Contact Business Support for a link to the latest Millennium SDK download package.

  3. Download and save the SDK installer to the desktop.

  4. Double-click the file. When the Welcome window appears, click Next.

  The License Agreement screen displays.

  5. Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.

  The Customer Information screen displays.

  6. Enter your details and click Next.

  The Setup Type screen displays.

  7. Complete the following based on the scenario:

  • You use the SpaBoom interface

    1. Select Complete.

    2. Click Next.

    The Service Login Information screen displays.

    3. Specify the user account under which to run the SpaBoom Integration Service:

    • Run the service under the user account you are currently using to access Windows

      1. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

    • Run the service under another administrator account

      1. In the User name and Password fields, type the login credentials for the administrator account.

      Note:  If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.

      2. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

    • Run the service under a new administrator account

      1. Click New User Information.

      The New User Information screen displays.

      2. Select a domain/server, select a user group, and type login credentials for the new administrator account.

      Note:  If you are on a domain, you must type the user name in "domainname\username" format.

      3. Click OK.

      4. Click Next.

      The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

       

     

  • You do not use the SpaBoom interface

    1. Select Custom.

    2. Click Next.

    The Custom Setup screen displays.

    3. Click next to SpaBoom Integration and select This feature will not be available.

    4. Click Next.

    The Web Site Folder TCP Port screen displays.

     

  8. Select one of the following options:

  9. If you have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, select the web site where you have Online Booking/RemoteBusiness installed and click Next.

  10. If you do not have Online Booking or RemoteBusiness installed, click Next to continue.

  Important:  

  • If you are installing the Millennium SDK in Windows XP and already have another web site installed, you must install the Millennium SDK under that web site.

  • If you decide to change the port used for the web site where you installed the Millennium SDK, you need to update the HarmsBridgeMillennium.ini file to reflect this change.  Click here for instructions.

  The Database Folder screen displays.

  9. Click Change.

  The Change Current Destination Folder screen displays.

  10. In the Folder Name field, type the UNC path for the Millennium data folder.

  Example:  "\\Server\Harms\Millennium\"

  11. Click OK.

  12. Click Next.

  The Ready to Install the Program screen displays.

  13. Click Install.

  The Installation Complete screen displays once the installation finishes.

  14. Click Close.

  15. Restart the computer.

  16. Click here to proceed with the next step of the setup.
