The next step is to install the SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility components on the new computer.
Notes:
You must install the SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility components before you can get SQL Server 2008 to work with Central Office.
You must access Windows with an administrator account to complete this step.
Open a web browser and access the following address:
The Microsoft Server 2008 Feature Pack page displays.
Click X86 Package if you have a 32-bit system.
Click X64 Package if you have a 64-bit system.
The installation wizard displays once the installation file downloads.
The License Agreement screen displays.
The Registration Information screen displays.
Type your details and click Next.
The Feature Selection screen displays.
Click Next.
The Ready to Install Program screen displays.
Click Install.
The Completing the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Backward compatibility Setup screen displays once the installation finishes.
Click Finish.
