Deactivating a Service

If you are going to stop selling a service or only want to sell a service at specific times of year, you should deactivate the service.  This allows you to keep the sales history for the service and gives you the flexibility to reactivate the service in the future.

Important:  When you deactivate a service, you cannot schedule appointments for the service or ring up the service.  However, you can still ring up clients for the service if they scheduled appointments before the deactivation.


  1. Select Data > Services > Service Definitions.

The Service Definitions window displays.

  1. Click the Listing tab.
  2. Select the service and click the Maintenance tab.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select Inactive.
