Defining a Split Commission

The Commission Splits window allows you to define split commissions to use when two employees need to receive commission for performing the same service.  This allows you to award different commissions to each employee based on the amount of work that they performed to complete the service.  

Note:  You can select split commissions when ringing up a client's appointment on the Register.  Click here for instructions on how to ring up an appointment.


  1. Select Data > Employees > Split Commission Definitions.

The Commission Splits window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. Complete the following:
  1. In the Split Definition Name field, type a name for the split commission.

  2. In the First Employee Split field, select the percentage of the commission earned on the service to award the primary employee.

  3. In the Second Employee Split field, select the percentage of the commission earned on the service to award the secondary employee.

  1. Click Save.
