The following guides explain how to create commonly used client selections.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select one of the following options:
Use Standard Dates = Select this option if you want to use specific dates (e.g. 12/3/11 to 12/10/11).
Use Relative Dates = Select this option if you want to use relative dates (e.g. last month or last year).
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Move to the Basic Info tab.
In the First Visit fields, select a date range in which to search for new clients making their first visit.
In the # of Visits fields, select a range if you want to target new clients with a certain number of visits.
Example: If you want to create a list of new clients with at least two visits and no more than four visits, select "2" and "4" in the # of Visits fields.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.

Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Standard Dates.

Move to the Basic Info tab.
In the Last Visit: From field, select a date six months before today's date.
In the Last Visit: To field, select a date three months before today's date.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.

Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Relative Dates.
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Move to the Basic Info tab.
Select "Previous Week" in the Last Visit field.
Click the Appointment tab.
Select No Future Appointments.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Standard Dates.
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Move to the Basic Info tab.
In the Last Visit: From field, select a date six months before today's date.
In the Last Visit: To field, select a date three months before today's date.
In the first # of Visits field, select a number of visits that the client must have made (e.g. 5 or 10).
Click the Appointment tab.
Select No Future Appointments.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:

Select the employee that is leaving.

Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:

In the Appointment: To field, select a date six months after today's date.
In the Employees list, select the employee that is leaving.
Click Move.

Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.

Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Relative Dates.
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Move to the Basic Info tab.
In the first # of Visits field, select the number of visits a client must have made in the last year for you to consider them a core client.
Click the Appointment tab.
Select "Previous Year" in the Appointment field.
Click the Employee tab.
Select the employee.
Click Move.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Clients who referred a new client that made their first visit last week
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Relative Dates.
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the Referral tab.
Select Referring Clients.
Select "Previous Week" in the First Visit field.
Click Select.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the Sales tab and click the Service Class subtab.
Click Move All.
Select Not next to every service class in the Target list.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the Sales tab and click the Service Class subtab.
Select a service.
Click Move.
Select Not next to the service.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click the New.
Complete the following:
Select Use Relative Dates.
In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the Sales tab and click the Service Class subtab.
Select "Current Year" in the Purchases field.
Select a service class.
Click Move.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.
Complete the following:

Click the Sales tab and click the Services subtab.
In the Purchases: From field, select a date four weeks before today's date.
In the Purchases: To field, select today's date.
Select a service.
Click Move.
Click the Products subtab.
Select a product.
Click Move.
Select Not next to the product.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.

Click the Print button on the toolbar.

Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.

In the Purchases field, select "Previous Year".
In the first Service field, type the minimum amount clients must have spent on services.
In the first Retail field, type the minimum amount clients must have spent on products.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.
The Print window displays.
Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.

Select Has Balance Remaining.
Select "Next Month" in the Expires field.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.

Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.

Select Has Balance Remaining.

Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.

In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the Membership/Disc tab.
Select Active Membership and Non-Auto Renew.
Select "Next Month" in the Membership Expiration Date field.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.

Click the Membership/Disc tab.
Select Suspended.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.

Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.

Select "Previous Two Weeks" in the Purchases field.

A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click

The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.

Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.

Click the Print button on the toolbar.

Select a printer and click Print.
Select Marketing > Client Selection.
The Client Selections window displays.
Click New.

In the Selection Name field, type a name for the client selection.
Click the User Defined tab.
Select Empty next to a user-defined field.
The number of clients that match the search criteria displays in the Selected field in the bottom left corner of the window.
A list of the clients that match the search criteria displays.
Complete the following as necessary:
Export the list of clients as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
Click
.
The Export Format window displays.
Select Excel.
In the Folder field, specify the location where you want to save the spreadsheet.
In the Filename field, enter a name for the spreadsheet.
Click Ok.
Click Print.
The Report Subtitle window displays.
Enter a subtitle to print on the client list and click OK.
A print preview displays.
Click the Print button on the toolbar.

Select a printer and click Print.
