Defining Appointment Confirmation Preferences

If a client wants to receive appointment confirmations, you need to define the client's confirmation preferences on the Appointment Confirmations window.


  1. Click on the toolbar.

The Appointments for window displays.

  1. In the Client field, type the client's name in "lastname,firstname" format and press Enter, or double-click in the field and locate the client's profile using the Quick Search window.

  1. Right-click on the client's name and select Edit View/This.

The client's profile displays.

  1. Click Edit.

  2. Enter the client's contact details.

  3. Select Confirm Appts.

  4. Click .

The Appointment Confirmations window displays.

  1. Complete the following in the Confirm via section:

  1. Deselect all of the confirmation methods currently selected.

  2. Select the confirmation methods in order of preference.

The order in the Sequence section changes based on the order in which you selected the confirmation methods.

Tip:  If you want to change the order in the Sequence section, drag the confirmation methods to a new position in the list as necessary.

  1. In the Confirm _ days prior to scheduled appointment field, select the number of days before an appointment that the client wants to receive a confirmation.

  2. Click Ok.

  3. Click Save.

Tip:  Clients can unsubscribe from text message confirmations by replying "CONFSTOP" to a confirmation message.
