1.7 - Install the Central Office Windows Service

The next step is to install the Central Office Windows Service.

Notes:  

• You must install the Central Office Windows Service on every server where you have a Millennium database located.

• You must access Windows with an administrator account to complete this step.

1. Insert the Central Office installation DVD.

2. Click Install Millennium CO Client Components.

3. Click Install Millennium CO Windows Service.

The installation wizard displays.

4. Click Next.

The License Agreement screen displays.

5. Read the license agreement, select I Agree, and click Next.

The Central Office Data Location screen displays.

6. Complete the following based on the scenario:

• You have the Millennium and Central Office databases stored on the same server

  1. Click Next.

   

• You have the Millennium and Central Office databases stored on separate servers within a local area network (LAN)

  1. Replace "localhost" with the private IP address of the server where you have the Central Office database located.

  2. Click Next.

   

• You have the Millennium and Central Office databases stored on separate servers within a wide area network (WAN)

  1. Replace "localhost" with the public IP address of the server where you have the Central Office database located.

  2. Click Next.

   

The Millennium Data Location screen displays.

7. Click Next.

The Multiple Locations Server screen displays.

8. Complete the following based on the scenario:

• If there is only one Millennium database on the server, click Next.

• If there are multiple Millennium databases on the server, select Multiple Locations and click Next.

The Select Installation Folder screen displays.

9. Click Next.

The Confirm Installation screen displays.

10. Click Next.

The Installation Complete screen displays once the installation finishes.

11. Click Close.
12. Repeat Steps 1-11 on every server where you have a Millennium database located.
13. Click here to proceed with the next step of the setup.
