8. Configure Remote Connections

The final step is to configure a remote connection to the server from every workstation, thin client, and mobile device.

Important: You must purchase a Millennium workstation license for every device used to access Millennium through a remote connection. Contact Business Solutions for purchasing information.

The following guides explain how to configure remote connections using compatible Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client software.

Remote Desktop Connection
Remote Desktop Connection allows you to connect to the server from a PC workstation or thin client running Windows.
1. Select Start > Run.
The Run window displays.
1. Type "mstsc" and press Enter.
The Remote Desktop Connection window displays.
1. Click Options.
An expanded version of the Remote Desktop Connection window displays.
1. Click the Local Resources tab.
1. Click More in the Local devices and resources section.
The Local devices and resources screen displays.
1. Select the following:
1. Click OK.
2. Click the General tab and click Save.
3. Click X .
Jump Desktop
The Jump Desktop app allows you to connect to the server from an iOS (iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch) or Android device.

Important: You must purchase the Jump Desktop app to complete this configuration. Visit the app marketplace for your device to purchase the Jump Desktop app.
1. Install and configure Jump Desktop on the server.
2. Install and configure the Jump Desktop app on your mobile device.

2X Client
The 2X Client app allows you to connect to the server from an iOS (iPad or iPhone) or Android device.
1. Download and install the 2X Client app on your mobile device.

1. Add a new 2X Connection to the server.
