2.3 - Configure Security Settings for Distributors

The final step is to create security groups and configure access for distributor consultants so that they can view product sales and real-time inventory data in RemoteBusiness.


  1. Access Millennium with an administrator account.

  2. Select Management > Security Groups.

The Security Groups window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. Type "REMOTEBUSINESS DISTRIBUTOR" in the Group Name field.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click Security Settings.

The Security Administration for: REMOTEBUSINESS DISTRIBUTOR window displays.

  1. Complete the following:

  1. Select "REMOTEBUSINESS" in the Main Topic field.

  2. Select "MANAGEMENT" in the Sub Topic field.

  3. Select Allow next to the following:

  1. Click Apply.

  1. Click Close and click  X .
  2. Select Management > User Logins.

The User Login Maintenance window displays.

  1. Click New and complete the following:
  1. Type the distributor consultant's full name in the Display Name field.

  2. Type a login ID for the distributor consultant in the Login ID field.

  3. Type a login password for the distributor consultant in the Password field.

  4. Type the distributor consultant's email address in the Email Address field.

  5. Move to the RemoteBusiness tab.

  6. Select Allow Individual RemoteBusiness Web Access.

  7. Select This is a Distributor Login and select the distributor that the consultant represents.

  1. Click the Member Of tab and select REMOTEBUSINESS DISTRIBUTOR.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Provide the distributor consultant with their Login ID and password.
  4. Repeat Steps 10-13 to grant additional distributor consultants access to RemoteBusiness.

The setup is complete and RemoteBusiness is now ready to use.
