Defining a Department

The Departments window allows you to define the departments at your business.  Once you define departments, you can assign product and service classes to each department so that you can track sales by department on reports.

1. Select Data > Departments.

The Departments window displays.

2. Click New.
3. Complete the following:

1. In the Department field, type the name of the department.

2. In the Size field, type the size of the department in square feet.

4. Click Save.
