Deleting Details for Past Appointments

To improve the speed and performance of the Appointment Book, you should delete details for past appointments periodically.

Important:  This deletion only removes the appointment details stored on the Appointment Book and does not remove details from a client's history or affect the historical appointment data that displays on reports.

Tip:  You can configure Millennium to delete appointments a specified number of months after the appointment date.  Click here for instructions.


  1. Select Appointments > Delete Multiple Appointments.

The Delete Multiple Appointments window displays.

  1. Click Backup.

The Millennium.Backup window displays.

  1. Complete the following:
  1. Click Select Location.

  2. Specify a location and file name for the backup.

  3. Click Save.

  1. Click Backup.
  2. Click Yes.

A notification displays once the backup process is complete.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Close the Millennium.Backup window.
  3. In the Delete appointments more than _ months old field, specify the number of months after the appointment date at which to delete appointment details.
  4. Complete the following as necessary:
  1. Select Include Block Time definitions that ended 6 months ago to delete time blocked out for breaks and meetings that occurred more than six months ago.

  2. Select Include Standing definitions that ended 6 months ago to delete details for standing appointments that occurred more than six months ago.

  1. Click Ok.

A notification displays with the number of appointments selected for deletion.

  1. Click Yes.

A notification displays when deletion is complete.

  1. Click OK.
