Defining an Appointment Type

Appointment types allow you to track the different types of clients that employees are servicing, such as new clients or clients coming in for a redo.  You must select an appointment type when scheduling an appointment and Millennium features the following default appointment types:

The Appointment Types window allows you to define custom appointment types.  This window also allows you to define commission overrides for each appointment type so that employees receive different commission for specific appointment types.


  1. Select Data > Appointment Types.

The Appointment Types window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. Complete the following:
  1. In the Appointment Type field, type a name for the appointment type.

  2. In the Abbreviation field, type a two-character abbreviation for the appointment type.

  1. Complete the following as necessary:
  1. Select Adjust service commissions for this type to pay different commission on services rung up using this appointment type.  Then type the percentage of normal commission to pay.

  2. Select Adjust retail commissions for this type to pay different commission on products rung up using this appointment type.  Then type the percentage of normal commission to pay.

  3. Select Bold, Italics, lower case, and/or UPPER CASE to customize the appearance of appointments using this appointment type on the Appointment Book.

  4. Select Include this type in client retention calculations = Select to include appointments using this appointment type in the retention calculations used on reports.

  1. Click Save.

 

Appointment Setup
