Slow Moving Inventory Wizard

Inventory that is not selling and sitting on your shelves, regardless of its profitability, takes up valuable space and creates unnecessary expense.  The Slow Moving Inventory Wizard analyzes your products and identifies the ones that are moving slowly, which allows you to prevent a costly surplus of unsold inventory.

This wizard identifies slow-moving inventory using the following criteria:

Once you identify the slow-moving products in your inventory, you can select to lower the model quantity, lower the order point, or place the products on sale.  These actions help to clear your shelves of slow-moving inventory so you can stock items that are more popular.


Using the Slow Moving Inventory Wizard

  1. Select Inventory > Inventory Wizards > Slow Moving Inventory Analysis.

The Slow Moving Inventory Wizard displays.

  1. Complete the following to select the inventory to analyze:
  1. Select Include Discontinued to include deactivated products in the analysis.

  2. In the Distributor field, select a distributor to analyze products supplied by that distributor.

  3. In the Manufacturer field, select a manufacturer to analyze products made by that manufacturer.

  4. In the Class field, select a product class to analyze the products in that product class.

  1. Select one of the following options to define slow-moving inventory:

  1. Click Analyze Slow Moving Inventory.

  1. Complete the following as necessary:
