Printing Bar Code Labels

Notes:

• You must use ½" x 1 ¾" size labels (Avery # 8167) when printing bar code labels for your products.

• If you do not have a bar code scanner, contact Business Solutions for more information on the bar code scanners compatible with Millennium.

• Printing Labels for a Specific Product

  1. Insert a sheet of adhesive labels into the printer and record the position of the first unused label.

  2. Select Data > Products > Product Definitions.

  The Product Definitions window displays.

  3. Click the Listing tab.
  4. Select the product and click the Maintenance tab.
  5. Click Bar Code.

  The Bar Codes window displays.

  6. Complete the following:

  1. Select Include Tax in Price to show a price that includes tax on the bar code.

  2. On the Label to Start Printing On diagram, select where to start printing on the label sheet you inserted into the printer.

  3. In the Quantity field, specify the number of bar code labels to print.

  7. Click Print.

  The Bar Code Quantity Verification window displays.

  8. Click Ok.

  A print preview displays.

  9. Click the Print button on the toolbar.

  The Print window displays.

  10. Select the correct printer.
  11. Click Print.

   

• Printing Labels for Multiple Products

  1. Insert a sheet of adhesive labels into the printer and record the position of the first unused label.

  2. Click on the toolbar.

  The Millennium Intelli-Text Control window displays.

  3. Type "DP005" in the OR type a report number here field and press Enter.

  The Reports & Graphs window displays.

  4. Click Preview.

  The Bar Codes window displays.

  5. Complete the following:

  1. Select Include Tax in Price to show a price that includes tax on the bar code.

  2. On the Label to Start Printing On diagram, select where to start printing on the label sheet you inserted into the printer.

  6. Select the products for which to print labels.

  A list of products matching the selected criterion displays.

  7. Select one of the following options:

  • Print labels for all products listed = Click Move All >>.

  • Print labels for specific products = Hold down the Ctrl key, select the products and click Move >.

  8. Select one of the following options in the Print section:

  • All Products = Select to print labels for both retail items and professional supplies.

  • Do NOT Include Shop Supplies = Select to only print labels for retail items.

  • Shop Supplies Only = Select to only print labels for professional supplies.

  9. Select one of the following options in the Quantity section:

  • Based on On Hand Counts = Select if you want to print the same number of labels as the on hand count for each product.

  • Specific Quantity = Select and specify the number of labels to print for each product.

  The Label Count field displays the number of labels due to print.  If there are not enough labels on the current sheet, feed additional sheets into the printer as necessary.

  10. Click Print.

  The Bar Code Quantity Verification window displays.

  11. Click Ok.

  A print preview displays.

  12. Click the Print button on the toolbar.

  The Print window displays.

  13. Select the correct printer.
  14. Click Print.
