Defining a Work Activity

You can track work time, training, vacation, and sick days by scheduling employees for work activities.  Millennium features a number of standard work activities but you can use the Work Activities window to define custom work activities as necessary.


  1. Select Data > Work Activities.

The Work Activities window displays.

  1. Click New.
  2. In the Work Activity field, type a name for the work activity.
  3. Select the following options to define rules for hourly employees:
  1. Select Pay Hourly Wage if you need to pay the employee for the work activity.

  2. Select Must Punch-in to force employees to punch in when scheduled for the work activity.

  1. Complete the following as necessary:
  1. Select Show as Work Time if you can schedule employees for appointments when scheduled for the work activity.

  2. Select Use in "Productivity" and "% Booked Calculations to include the work activity in the productivity and percentage booked calculations on the Appointment Monitoring Station and reports.

  3. Select Show EARLY/LATE Indicator to display an indicator on the Appointment Book when an hourly employee punches in early/late for a work activity.

Note:  This indicator allows you to track the productivity of hourly employees and only shows for work activities that have Must Punch-in and Show as Work Time selected.

  1. Select Icon and select the icon to represent the work activity.

Note:  This icon allows you to identify the work activity on the Monthly Schedule window.

  1. Click Save.
