Creating a Backup of Your Data

The Millennium.Backup window allows you to create backup copies of your Millennium database.  You can then use these backups to restore your database in the event of an error or system failure.

Tip:  You can also use the Millennium Backup Service to back up your data automatically at a preset time each day.  Refer to the Millennium Services Setup Guide for instructions on how to set up the Millennium Backup Service.

1. Select Utilities > Millennium.Backup.

The Millennium.Backup window displays.

2. Select one of the following options in the Amount to BackUp field:

• All = Select to make backup copies of all Millennium files (including .dll, .exe, and .ocx files).

• Data Only = Select to only make backup copies of database files.

3. In the Compression Level field, specify a compression level for the backup file.

Tip:  A high compression level will result in a smaller backup file that takes a shorter time to create.  A lower compression level will result in a larger backup file that takes longer to create.

4. (Optional) If you want to save the backup file in an alternate location, click Select Location, specify the location, and click Save.
5. Click BackUp.
6. Click Yes.

The BackUp complete message displays.

7. Click OK.
