Multiple Locations

Complete the following steps to set up the Millennium SDK Web Service to work on a single server housing multiple Millennium databases.


  1. Launch the Internet Information Services Manager and locate the Millennium SDK Web Service. 

  2. Right-click on the Millennium SDK Web Service and select All Tasks > Save Configuration to a File.

  3. Type a file a name (e.g. MillenniumSDK.XML).

  4. Open the folder where you installed the Millennium SDK Web Service.

Note:  The default install location is C:\Inetpub\MillenniumSDK.

  1. Make copies of the MillenniumSDK folder until you have a folder for each Millennium database.  Change the name of each folder to match the name of the location.

  2. Open one of the new MillenniumSDK folders. 

  1. Open the web.config file and modify the MillenniumDir key so that it points to the correct Millennium database.

  2. Create a new Millennium SDK Web Service from the saved configuration file.  Right-click on the web site that you would like to have host the new web service and select New > Virtual Directory Site (from File).

  3. Select the XML configuration file for the Millennium SDK and click Open.

  4. Click Read File and click OK.

  5. Type the name of the Virtual Directory alias and click OK

Example:  MillenniumSDKLocation2

  1. Right-click on the new Virtual Directory and select Properties.

  2. Redirect the Local Path to the new Millennium SDK Web Service folder.

  3. Repeat Steps 6-13 until you create a new Millennium SDK Web Service for each database.
