1.2 - Install the Millennium Server Component

The next step is to install the Millennium Server Component and the Millennium services.

1. Complete one of the following:

• If you are using Windows 8.1 Professional/Enterprise, or Server 2012 Component R2, access Windows with the standard user account created in previous steps.

2. Click Install the Server Components with the Link Provided by your Support Technician. Click here for the link.

Important:  If a message displays indicating that you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework, click Install to continue.

The installation wizard displays.

4. Click Next.

The License Agreement screen displays.

5. Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.

The Customer Information screen displays.

6. Type your details and click Next.

The Destination Folder screen displays.

7. Select one of the following options:

• Install Millennium in the default location (C:\Harms\Millennium\) For Windows 8.1 Server 2012 Operating Systems, install under add (drive letter): (program filesx86\Harms\Millennium\).

  1. Click Next.

  The Ready to Install Program screen displays.

   

8. Click Anyone who uses this computer (all users).

The InstallShield Wizard Completed screen displays once the installation finishes.

9. Click Finish.

The Millennium Remote Support installation wizard displays.

10. Click Next.

The License Agreement screen displays.

11. Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.

The Customer Information screen displays.

12. Type your details and click Next.

The Ready to Install the Program screen displays.

13. Click Install.

The InstallShield Wizard Completed screen displays once the installation finishes.

14. Click Finish.

The Install Millennium Services window displays.

15. Select one of the following options:

• Install all of the Millennium services

  1. Click Install Now.

  2. Click Install.

  Important:  If a message displays indicating that you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework, click Install to continue.

  The Congratulations message displays once the installation finishes.

  3. Click OK twice.

   

(For Windows 8.1 Server 2012, skip to the next step. Do NOT install the default services.)

• Install selected Millennium services

  1. Click Customize.

  2. Select the services you want to install.

  3. Click Install.

  4. Click Yes.

  5. Complete the following for each service you selected to install:

  1. Click Next on the Welcome screen of the installation wizard.

  2. Read the license agreement, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and click Next.

  3. Select an installation folder and click Next.

  4. Click Close once the installation finishes.

  Important:  If a message displays indicating that you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework, click Install to continue.

  The Congratulations message displays once you have installed all of the services.

  6. Click OK twice.

   

(Click ALL needed services. Do NOT Install Update and FileFix Services. Make sure you right-click, and run as the previously configured administrator account.)
