6. Configure Security Settings

The final step is to configure security settings for the MICROS interface.

1. Access Millennium with an administrator account.

2. Select Management > Security Administration.

The Security Administration window displays.

3. Complete the following:

1. Select "HOTEL INTERFACE" in the Main Topic field.

2. Select "HOTEL INTERFACE" in the Sub Topic field.

3. Select "EDIT PMS ITEMIZER DEFINITIONS" in the Specific field.

4. In the Security Groups list, select Allow next to the security groups that need access to change the MICROS interface settings on the Business Information window.

5. Click Apply.

6. Select "EDIT POSTING SEQUENCE NUMBERS" in the Specific field.

7. In the Security Groups list, select Allow next to the security groups that need access to change the posting sequence numbers for transactions completed in Millennium.

8. Click Apply.

9. Select "VIEW REMAINING CREDIT" in the Specific field.

10. In the Security Groups list, select Allow next to the security groups that need to view the credit remaining on a guest's folio.

11. Click Apply.

The setup of the MICROS interface is now complete.
